Unmatched Tasty Paneer Pasanda Home Style

Paneer Pasanda is a very tasty paneer curry and its taste and texture of gravy is slightly different from other paneer curries. In this, fried paneer cubes pieces are cooked in a rich gravy made of onions, tomatoes, cashew nuts It tastes wonderful when served with Paneer Kulcha or Matar Pulao.
Ingredients
Paneer 200 grams
2-3 medium tomatoes puree
2 medium onions
6-8 cashews or 3 tsp poppy seeds soaked in cup of warm milk
1/2-inch ginger
1 bay leaf
2 Green cardamoms
1 Green chili, chopped
1 Tsp kasurii methi
1 Tsp garam masala
1 Tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp red Kashmiri chili powder
1 Tsp coriander-cumin powder
1 Cup fresh cream low fat
Mix half a cup of milk with water
3 Tbsp. desi ghee
2 Tbsp. fresh coriander leaves
Salt to taste
Put raw cashews in a mixer jar and grind them until they become a soft powder and make a paste of cashews by adding 3 tbsp of water.
Or make a fine paste of socked poppy seeds
To make ginger-chilly paste, grind ginger and green chilies in the same grinder.
Make onion puree. (Cut onion into big pieces and blanch in hot water for 4-5 minutes. Drain the water and also make tomato puree in a mixer.)
Method
Cut the paneer into 2-inch squares, heat each tablespoon of ghee in a pan on medium heat. Fry the paneer cubes till turn light brown. And set them aside.
In the same pan, heat the remaining 1 tbsp. oil on medium heat. Put bay leaves and cardamom in hot oil and fry for few seconds. Add ginger-chilly paste and fry for a few seconds.
Add onion puree (and cook until it turns light brown and oil begins to separate, about 2-3 minutes.
Add tomato puree and fry till oil starts separating from the edges
Add turmeric powder, Kashmiri chilly powder, garam masala, cumin-coriander powder and salt.
Mix well and cook for a minute.
Add cashew or poppy seed paste and mix well. Add 3/4 cup milk water
Add Add kasoori methi mix well
Bring mixture to a boil. cook another 4 to 5 minutes
Add low fat cream ,and cook for 2 minutes more. Turn off the flame
Take out the prepared paneer favorites in a bowl and garnish with green coriander.
Enjoy home style paneer pasande with Kulcha or Matar Pulao.
